About me

I have been working in the personal training field for about 6 years. I am a total nerd when it comes to movement and how the body works. Some of the reasons I like being a personal trainer: I get to meet many people from different backgrounds and fitness experiences, and I get to prove people wrong when they think they’re not strong enough or good enough to complete a certain movement or goal, and I wasn’t meant to sit behind a desk!

I enjoy clients who give me honest feedback so I can keep their program as enjoyable and productive as possible. I appreciate clients who want to learn, who show up on time and who stay committed.

I help clients reach their weight loss goals, build strength and muscle, build confidence, and resolve specific joint issues. I also help clients by simply listening to their issues and showing them how exercise can be a form of mental health medicine. I also help clients laugh 🙂

Specialties

Endurance and strength training, weight loss and confidence building.

Philosophy

Love the good days and learn from the bad days. Nobody is perfect in the beginning, but if you build one step at a time eventually you will have a whole staircase.

I may not have the answer to all your questions, but I will do the research to find out. I also have a lot of patience and will be alongside you the entire journey. If you had a poor experience with training before, then I apologize and hope I can help you have a positive experience this time. Personal training is not one size fits all. All clients are unique and adapt differently. The same goes for (good) personal trainers. We are not body builders who will make you do something uncomfortable. We are real people who have studied the science and understand human relationships and will create a program tailored to your goals.

Outside the gym

I enjoy watching soccer and trying to attend Timbers and Thorns games. I live right next to Providence Park, which is amazing! I also enjoy watching mixed martial arts and started training in Muay Thai again. Lifting is also a big part of my daily life. I am new to Portland, so I love exploring and getting lost on adventures.
