Between her children, her business, and her travels, Lisa has as many reasons as anyone to claim to be “too busy” to exercise. However, she never uses her hectic schedule as an excuse to skip the gym. Instead, she shows up with a smile and a sense of humor that make her one of our favorite people to have at the studio.
Name: Lisa Paul Heydet
Age: 46
Length of time with Hyatt Training and date when you started: I’ve been a member at the studio for three years now.
What were your goals when you started? To be injury free. I had some chronic pain that wouldn’t go away.
What are your goals today? To be stronger and continue working harder so I can run adventure races.
What has been your biggest challenge? Injuring my ribs, twice in 3 months. I could barely breath. However, Trevor and I did a lot of breathing and modified my routine.
What have been your biggest areas of improvement? Overcoming injuries. I have still been able to workout partially and Trevor does a great job modifying for me.
What is your favorite thing about Hyatt Training? The owners, trainers and people. It’s so nice to be in a small gym where everyone has the same attitude towards fitness.
What is your favorite thing about your personal trainer? The way he dresses everyday ☺️. Seriously, Trevor is so good at what he does. He knows how to adapt my training schedule depending on the week and how I’m feeling.
What have you learned: I’ve learned that everyone is different and some workout routines work for some people and not others. I want to be able to workout for a long time and learning more about what works for my body has been great with Trevor.
What advice would you give to other people starting on their fitness journey? Jump in and try new things. Take a walk, try a new activity and join a group if you need motivation.
