dan weinsoft

When Dan started with personal trainer Erin Seekins, he had couple very generalized goals. Since then he has become a goal setting and crushing machine. He knows his work is never finished, utilizes all of the tools available to him, and shows up at the gym on a consistent basis, always with a desire to grow and learn.

Name: Dan Weinsoft

Age: on the old side of 35

Length of time with Hyatt Training and date when you started: December 2015

Trainer: Erin “Seek & Destroy” Seekins

Goals when he started: Reduce injuries caused by running and cycling; especially back injuries.

Goals today: Much different than before! Now my goals are focused on losing weight and building strength, especially arm and grip strength. Also focusing on obstacle course skill building while training for the upcoming Spartan Race in Seattle. On top of that, the injuries are gone.

Biggest area of improvement: I surprised myself with how far I’ve come in strength training because it wasn’t one of my original goals. I can do burpees, pull-ups and climb ropes – things I’ve never been able to before in my life – and I finished a Spartan Race. Total game changers for my physical abilities as well as inspiring me into a new sport.

Favorite thing about Hyatt Training: Other than being conveniently located right next door to my office 🙂 I love the atmosphere, the people, and the workouts. It’s a great, supportive environment with lots of friendly faces. I look forward to hanging out there every week and bonding over the brutal Hour of Power workouts.

Favorite thing about your personal trainer: Erin’s been amazing to work with. She started me out slow in the first few months while I was building up and now she routinely kicks me in the rear with her workouts every week. She knows how to work herself into your head and push you to do your best in nutrition, training, form and effort. Plus, she’s a Spartan World Championship participant so she’s kind of a big deal.

Proudest achievement or biggest accomplishment since you began working with Hyatt Training: I’m down 20 pounds and gained significant lean muscle since I’ve been working out at Hyatt. I’m leaner, stronger and more confident than I’ve ever been before.
