Lee and I have 2 dogs. Walking them in January and February, in Oregon, 2x a day can be a real drag. We look outside and it looks uncomfortable. Likely the same way that thinking about exercising several times a week for the rest of your life can feel. It’s hard to get started because it’s just plain hard to get out of the door.

Truth be told, it would be a lot harder for us to get 10,000 steps a day if we didn’t have the pups. That’s not why we got them, but it helps keep us active a lot. They love the walks, we love the dogs, easy system. AND, we’re outside and find another 30-minutes a day together that we may not have had otherwise. So many wins from such a small move. But it never happens if we don’t get out the door.
In this post, we have some ways to help you improve your systems to make exercising a few times a week much more simple. It’s not easy, you still have to do the work. But the wins are huge and worth it 10-fold.
