About me

My passion for fitness developed in my early twenties when I joined a gym and began working with my own personal trainer. I weighed over 200 pounds at the time and felt out of place in most gym settings. Finding a small gym with a supportive community and passionate trainers allowed for a dramatic transformation in my health and well-being.

My own experience makes me appreciate how much working one-on-one with a personal trainer can improve your life and health. I love being part of Hyatt training where I can help clients achieve their goals by providing an individualized experience in an enjoyable environment.

Specialties

My specialties include strength training, weight management, lifestyle changes and injury prevention. I enjoy working with people of any age and physical shape.

Philosophy

We are at our best when we are in good health—both physically and emotionally. Maintaining physical fitness—including strength, flexibility and balance—as we age is key to being able to live life to its fullest.

Outside the gym

I was born and raised on a small island in Alaska. I moved to Portland for school and was hooked! I absolutely love the Pacific Northwest and all of the great hiking and local produce it provides. I enjoy time with my family (including a fantastic dog and cat) and kicking my husband’s butt at video games.
