I grew up in an overweight family. It all started with Richard Simmons aerobic workout tapes in the living room with my mom when I was 8 years old. Helping my family and peers through encouragement and motivation was so rewarding to me. As I studied massage and kinesiology in college, I was lead to help others in a gym setting to move better and feel better in their bodies. I have worked in the fitness field for the past 14 years. I started as a front desk attendant while in high school, selling gym memberships and wiping down equipment. I have worked in big box gyms, women-only gyms, YMCAs, cycling studios and community centers. I was a senior fitness coordinator as well as a lead fitness coach for the last 3 years.
I absolutely love what I do, and I care so much about my clients. It is so rewarding to share results with clients. I have a 72-year-old client, Jane, who took on jogging and eating better to lose weight. After three years of dedicated training, tracking her food intake, regular body assessments and weekly massages, she completed her first Portland marathon. She finished and said, “I want to do that again next year!” She learned so much and continues to train for other races with the same regimen. It’s great to see total transformations in body image and confidence!
My specialities are functional movements, corrective exercise, TRX movements, balance, flexibility and massage therapy. I work with all shapes, ages and sizes. Most of my experience is working with women, baby boomers and runners. I also like working with individuals who are in need of postural correction, pain relief and weight management.
I believe in coaching the whole person. A fitness program is an integral part in developing a healthy and happy lifestyle. I also act as a great resource for nutrition.

I grew up in Molalla, a small town south of Portland. I went to Missoula, Montana, for college. After living in Montana for 10 years, I moved to Portland in 2013.

I enjoy running a lot. I run on trails in Forest Park. I am always training for my next marathon. I also enjoy riding my bike, gardening, cooking and doing wine tastings at small wineries.
My husband John and I are very active together and love to do weekend adventures and travel. We don’t have kids or pets at this time!
