I began my fitness career as a yoga teacher back in 2017. It started as a side hustle, but I quickly decided to leave my corporate job behind and make fitness my main gig!
I became a personal trainer because I love helping people fall in love with exercise and movement. When a person finds the right exercise modality, there’s a spark that lights up in them when they exercise. It’s like magic, and I love being part of that transformation. Personal training changed my life. And as someone who has tried every way imaginable to workout, personal training is one of the most affirming and effective ways to participate in fitness. Having your program tailor-made for you by a caring trainer who gives you individual attention is irreplaceable. I love coaching and encouraging my clients, showing them how strong they are inside and out. I like to think of myself as a professional “hype woman!”
My ideal client is someone who loves a challenge, is open to trying new things and laughs at my corny jokes. I help clients by making their workout enjoyable, customized to exactly what they need that day.
Clients like working with me because I’m enthusiastic and I focus on their needs. I make creative, fun workouts they enjoy doing so they can’t wait to come back. I focus on creating workouts that help clients feel revitalized and more productive for the rest of their day—and beyond.
I teach weight training, HIIT, yoga and advanced asana (e.g. handstands). I’m a coach who has a lot of energy and enthusiasm. I like to focus on confidence building while carefully selecting the best exercise modalities for each individual.
Forget how it looks. How does it feel? If it makes you feel excited (or even better, giddy), then we’re on the right track!
Outside the gym
I am from Brookings and Eugene, Oregon, but I’ve been in Portland for many years.
I now live in North Portland by Peninsula Park with my family. I have a 5-year-old daughter who has more personality than anyone I know. I also have a 9-year-old stepson whom I can’t keep up with, and by that I mean he literally runs faster than me. My husband is the only reason we arrive on time to anything. We have no pets, but I’ll gladly borrow your cat or dog (or pig or hamster or whatever) for snuggles anytime.
Outside of work, I like to eat cheese, ride my bike, journal, meditate and spend time with friends.
