How can you keep quality sleep a priority during the long days of summer? Check out personal trainer Sarah Griffin’s tips and links to keep your sleep on track this summer.
“Sleep is important. Very important. It is a basic necessity of life. But, because of the long summer days, most of us have the tendency to stay up with the sun. It can be difficult to settle down and prepare for the evening when it is still light out at 9:00 PM. Outings out with friends last longer and kiddos use the delayed dusk as leverage in the bedtime battle. But, we still need to find a way to make sleep a priority.”

Sarah’s personal training philosophy
I want to help people accomplish what’s important to them. I encourage my clients to be safe, have fun and be consistent. Safety includes training smart, focusing on form versus number of reps and weight, and listening to your body. Training should be fun! Of course, you should also be challenged and pushed outside of your comfort zone, but it’s important to enjoy your workout so you’re more likely to stick with it. Consistency is key. Do a little (or a lot) of something most days, and that is when you will see lasting results.
