With the new studio has come a lot of new equipment. Here’s a quick recap and some insight into the strategy and careful selection process we used when planning the new studio.

Many of you know already about the purchase we made earlier this spring when we bought an entire storage unit of gear from a former gym. Some of that equipment was integrated into the Raleigh Square studio, while most of that stuff was patiently waiting for someone to come play with it! So in addition to the brand new pieces there was already some great equipment waiting for us!

Our new personal training equipment

Hyatt Training new equipment: Airdyne and spin bikes

Two new Airdyne bikes Schwinn has long been the standard in air bikes, and these new bikes are amazing. Smoother to ride and way better electronic controls to set up interval sets, tabatas, countdowns, etc. You’ll love to hate these bikes!

One new Stages spin bike We had new Stages spin bikes when they came out 4 years ago. The latest version of these bikes are amazing! Incredible feel, better adjustments and cool technology gives you power measurements, intervals timers, the works.

Two TrueForm runner treadmills The latest in design for treadmills, the curved belt on the True Forms promotes better running mechanics through foot strike and forward lean. They are also human powered, meaning you pull the belt through instead of the motor. This increases the metabolic demand considerably, and again, helps clean up running form and keep the treadmills “green” and off the power grid.

Hyatt Training new equipment: four stacking soft plyo boxes

Four stacking soft plyo boxes No need to be scared anymore of hitting your shins on a metal or wooden box. These boxes stack from 6 inches to 5 feet tall and provide a secure yet forgiving surface to land on.

Hyatt Training new equipment: the Rig

The RIG! We needed a cable pulley system and more squat racks and got all that and more in the new Torque rig system. The centerpiece of the training floor, check out all the different pull up configurations and play around with the new adjustable cable stacks.
