In honor of our 12th birthday, we’ve changed our name and refreshed our branding! With more than a decade in the business, we know who we are, what we have to offer and what sets us apart. We wanted our name and brand to more fully tell that story. Welcome to Hyatt Strength + Wellness!
Our new name
Above all, we wanted people to know that we were a gym—but not just any gym—when they saw our name. Our new name is an opportunity to bring more precision to what we do right off the bat.
We’ve known for a long time that we’re “more than a good sweat” and, in fact, we tried on that tagline for many years! The word “training” began to feel ambiguous, while “strength” is more precise. First and foremost, we are strength coaches. Every day, more and more research is published highlighting the critical importance of lean muscle mass for overall wellness. Which brings us to “wellness,” and the many reasons we chose to use it in our new name. Strength is wellness in its own right. And our training sessions have evolved to be more holistic and comprehensive looking at sleep, stress and nutrition. We provide customized exercise prescriptions that touch every aspect of wellness. We’ve also added complementary services like nutrition coaching and acupuncture with massage arriving soon. As we prepare for the next decade of service, we wanted a name that added a laser focus to what we do.
Our new brand
Changing the name meant revisiting our main logo. We removed the frame around the logo so it’s more open and inviting. We kept the main green color because being an eco-friendly gym is important to us. And we swapped the bright orange for a bright green to further showcase our commitment to the natural environment and the Pacific Northwest. We rounded the corners in “Hyatt” to visually communicate that we’re approachable, friendly and accessible. Then we updated our fonts choosing one that’s strong and confident—just like our clients!
We now have a secondary logo featuring the Hyatt “H” as a dumbbell, which you’ll see soon on trainer t-shirts, hats and apparel! This secondary logo visually conveys that we’re a gym and that we’re serious about strength training.
