We’ve carried the same 4 supplements in the pro shop for years now. Same brands, same stuff, same reason. My guess is that 90% of the people reading this would benefit from more of any, or all, of the following supplements we carry. And since we’re still celebrating Women’s Health Month, it’s worth noting that these exact four supplements are absolute powerhouses for female physiology.
Florasophy: Soluble fiber supplement. Fiber helps you feel fuller, control blood sugar spikes and remove toxins. Generally recommended 40g per day, half of that being soluble (which can be really hard to hit). Soluble fiber is crucial for estrogen metabolism, helping the body bind and eliminate excess hormones to keep your system balanced. Fun fact: Florasophy is actually women-owned and co-founded by our very own co-owner, Lee, so it’s a product we know inside and out!
ReLyte Electrolytes: Hydration is critical to proper functioning in a million ways and water alone doesn’t always cut it. Your body eliminates salts and other valuable minerals while sweating and those need to be replenished as part of a well-rounded hydration strategy. Hormonal shifts throughout the menstrual cycle disrupt fluid balance and sodium retention, making targeted hydration essential for energy.
Promix Protein: The building blocks for muscle. You have surely heard you need more protein in the past couple years. But again, it’s sometimes hard to get with diet alone. 3 solid meals a day is a great start, but if you need more a high quality protein powder can be a game changer. As we mentioned in our newsletter last week, women naturally lose muscle mass and bone density as they age, so prioritizing protein is vital for metabolic health and staying strong.
Promix Creatine: Creatine serves 2 functions. It improves short term energy recovery so your training can be better since recovery between sets is driven by creatine. There is mounting evidence that creatine improves brain health by improving cellular function in the brain. Studies have shown that women naturally have lower creatine stores, making it a secret weapon for fighting mental fatigue, brain fog, and supporting cognitive health during hormonal fluctuations.
It’s always smart to start with a check with your doc, trainer, etc before starting new products. But these are easy for us to recommend and products that we trust. Personally, I have a shake everyday with fiber, creatine and protein (plus coconut milk) as an insurance policy and drink a bottle of water with electrolytes after my workout everyday. 4 supplements, 2 easy servings, done.
