A client recently described me as “a bulldog but very positive and cheerful.” I’m a stickler for proper form, but I’m also kind and love to laugh!

Proudest athletic achievements:In spring 2016 I completed a sprint triathlon on a whim. I signed up less than two weeks before race day, and it was awesome to have enough of a fitness base that I could complete the race in a reasonable time and not be sore the next day.
After working for three years as a physical therapy aide/exercise specialist, I transitioned to personal training. Working in physical therapy opened my eyes to how many injuries, aches and pains can be prevented through movement and strength training, and as a personal trainer I equip people to take a proactive role in their wellness. Personal training allows me to use my love of exercise physiology and biomechanics in a meaningful way. I’ve also seen how, for many women, finding their physical strength translates to greater strength in all areas of their life–it’s incredibly rewarding to be a catalyst for that process.
In physical therapy I worked with a wide range of clients, from children to the very elderly and from sedentary adults to Division I college athletes and elite Masters runners. My personal training clients are also a wide variety of ages and with different fitness backgrounds. My ideal client is willing to learn and invested in the process. I don’t want to just put you through the motions of exercising, I want to come alongside you and equip you with the tools you need to reach and exceed your goals. I love building relationships with clients and sharing my knowledge with them.
I excel at increasing strength while optimizing the way you move. My specialties are endurance and strength training, fitness for golf and tennis, injury prevention, rehabilitation, weight loss, muscle gain, boot camps, sport-specific training and confidence building.
Empowering clients to take ownership of their health through movement. Personal training is a great way to ensure that your workouts are tailored to your fitness and lifestyle goals.

I grew up in Maryland then lived in Virginia for several years. Cheesy grits were my favorite food way before Southern food was hip! I’m relatively new to the PNW; I’ve lived in SE Portland for the past year.
I play soccer and basketball every chance I get, I love to cook, I’m a classically trained violinist, I’m active in my church, I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like, and I’m teaching myself to play guitar.
